Hurricane Ridge
Hurricane Ridge is located in the Olympic National Park on the North Olympic Peninsula, 17 miles from Port Angeles. Summit elevation is 5,240 feet, annual snowfall of 400-plus inches. The Parks Service trys to keep the road open Friday through Sunday from mid-December until Spring. The ski and snowboarding area has one Poma lift and two rope tows, a ski school and a racing team. The ski lifts run from 10:00am to 4:00pm on weekends only. A park entry fee is required ($10). Telephone 360-565-3131.
