Mt Baker is located 56 miles east of Bellingham, WA on Highway 542. Mt Baker typically has the highest annual snowfall in the US (over 650 inches on average). The backcountry is a big attraction but avalanches are a constant hazard. The managed areas are well groomed and spacious.
